Dr. Renee Del Rio was great at helping us to focus on the core problems and getting to the root of those problems. She taught us how to communicate effectively, which has been a longstanding issue.

I never thought that going in to this, we would ever get back to what we had before the stress of life happened, but we feel closer than ever now. You will get more out of this than you could ever imagine.

Yes, we have been in months and months of couples therapy. Weekly, Bi-Monthly, and a point there we had twice a week.

What changes in your relationship resulted from your work with Couples Therapy Inc.?           

The weekend let me hear every hurt or pain my partner felt from day one of marriage to now and I was able to hear him and see his experience. In turn, he got to do the same for me.

We no longer see each other as the enemy and/or bad guy. I understand how much more presence and intention I need to have with every interaction. He needs my gentle care in every word and action. I didn’t consider how unkind or harsh my way of being had been. I didn’t see how little of the love I poured into him was actually being received.

Now that he feels safe and cared for in turn, he is caring for me in a gentle way too. My internal world has changed.

My husband has had a life of trauma and Dr. Del Rio was so gentle and kind to him. Sensitive and attentive. She was successful in showing great care with him without me feeling that it was lopsided or that I was ignored. She made him feel understood without feeling judged. I felt supported as well.
